The Oscars and all that.

Hello Pretties,

Bored at work? Can’t stop day dreaming about the Oscars and the glamour? Well, your invited. Brace yourselves for an ultra stylish weekend because I’m covering the Oscars for you. High collar replaced sexy cut outs, with a very slight show of color at the red carpet. I feel fashion is so integral to the Oscars that the choices have to be revolutionary. Although with the pouring rain and the never ending gown trails I was quite surprised how none of the attendees had a minor or major fall accident. Sadistic pleasures I tell you, when you derive pleasure from someone's misfortune. Its called 'Schadenfreude' people. I picked that one up in Law School. But besides the fashion and the after party,  there was nothing really to be watched. So lets get started with some of my personal favourites.

Rita Ora
In a midnight blue or a metallic grey not quite sure, Marchesa fish-tail Gown with an intricate gold embroidered layer at the bust and the waist.

Dakota Johson
Decided a ponytail similar to her character in Fifty Shades of Grey to go with her red, one- shoulder Saint Laurent with a dash of sparkle detail.

Laura Dern
She worked her Jurassic Park Charms in a metallic, body fitted gown by Albert Ferretti.

Scarlett Johanson
She hit the red carpet in a green Versace and a bold statement necklace. Look at that post baby figure. One word. WOW!

An awkward moment.

Though this sparkly tulle by Ellie Saab is the prettiest thing you've ever seen, Jennifer Lopez and Luciana Duvall were less than thrilled to be wearing almost identical versions of the dress.

Emma Stone

She was on her way to best dressed in a drop dead beaded Ellie Saab celery green.

Margot Robbie
Remember Wolf of Wall Street? She was caught in a Saint Laurent gown in black with a plunging neckline and sheer sleeves along with a spectacular Von Cleef & Arpel Necklace.

Cate Blanchett
In a gorgeous Maison Martin Margiela Couture by Jhon Galliano punctured with a teal necklace by Tiffany.

Reese Witherspoon
She kept it simple in a pale blue and white Tom Ford

Lady Gaga.
How could we forget Lady Gaga. The talk of the season. She came out in her custom-made Alaia gown which apparently took twenty five craftsmen ten weeks to make. Pay close attention to here leather gloves similar to the ones Captain America once wore. I personally love the outfit. There had to be a bit of Gaga in it after all.

And that best dressed title goes to *drum role* Rita Ora. There were so many other spectacular pieces but these are just a few that blew me away. It was a very stylish weekend indeed. Until next time.
